Beaded v.s. Overlap Above Ground Liners

Overlap Above Ground Liners

Overlap pool liners are the most common and affordable option. They’re easy to install—just remove the top rail, drape the liner over the pool wall, secure it with coping strips, and reattach the rail. After that, trim the extra liner. Be careful during installation, as uneven overlaps can cause wrinkles. For the best fit, make sure the liner matches your pool’s exact size.

Beaded Liners

Beaded liners are a flexible option that work in two ways—either as a J-hook liner or a traditional beaded liner. As a J-hook, the liner hangs over the pool wall with no extra parts. If your pool has a bead receiver track, the liner snaps right into place.

This dual design makes installation simple and gives you more flexibility if you upgrade your pool later. Beaded liners offer a clean, secure fit, but like all liners, careful installation is key for the best results.
